What makes this amplifier absolutely unique is the built in Box Control system, which allows easy control of this and other IR controlled devices from Pro-Ject via free App. If a mobile device with activated BT (paired with MaiA DS2) control does not need WiFi environment at all. System is working even during BT music playback.

The Stereo Box DS2 is Pro-Ject‘s take on the classical integrated stereo amp. The focus is outstanding, unimpeded sound quality that is not held back by a overly cramped feature-set, where good sound gives way to more and more features that many customers may never need.

The Stereo Box DS2 provides excellent functionality without overdoing it. The pre-amp section includes a high quality phono stage, allowing you to connect turntables with MM or more demanding MC cartridges. Three RCA line inputs offer enough flexibility to add CD players, DACs and streaming devices to your system. The BT input is great for quickly getting your phone onto your speakers and brighten up your living room with warm background music.

The real star is the power amp section. The dual mono design principle is able to drive the best speakers out there and will make them come to life with powerful transients and a rich, wide and dynamic soundstage. The variable and fixed RCA outputs allow you to connect active speakers or a subwoofer. The 6,3mm headphone output on the front panel is driven by its own dedicated amplifier stage and has ample of headroom to drive the best sounding headphones. No corners were cut when designing the electrical curcuitry and this way, the relatively small and compact, Stereo Box DS2 can compete with much bigger and heavier integrated amps that cost many times more!

The market for HiFi headphones has been expanding rapidly in the last years. There have been brought out new models and new driver designs. These headphones are able to produce outstanding sound, the amplifiers from which they are fed mostly are mediocre. For example planarmagnetic headphones demand more current and simply need more power to be driven to their full potential. Our new Head Box DS2 B will drive anything with ease as it puts out powerful 1100 mW into 33 Ohm. It has three different current settings to match any headphone type and features four gain settings for high impedance headphones as well as sensitive in ear monitors. The fully balanced dual mono design is completed with a phase inverter to convert any unbalanced signal to a balanced one straight at the input. A balanced 4 Pin XLR output on the front guarantees perfect signal transmission to your headphone. The highly acclaimed Texas Instruments TPA6120A2 chip has been implemented for best possible power handling, which results in superior sound and a near dead silent noise floor. Both outputs on the front can be used simultaneously for shared listening experiences.

Head Box S2 Digital comes fully equipped for the highest demands of the modern audiophile. It supports playback for PCM files up to 32bit / 768kHz and DSD decoding up to quad DSD (DSD256). Head Box S2 Digital also comes with five digital filters for soundshaping to the listeners preferences. Three digital inputs ensure to connect to any source available, be it a personal computer via the USB B input or a TV set via the optical input. The coaxial S/PDIF input takes all data from a digital transport such as the CD Box DS2 T. All inputs offer support for high resolution data up to 24bit /192kHz. Pre Box RS Digital combines all features of DAC Box RS plus a very linear pre-amplifier with both solid-state and tube output stages, that can be selected alternatively. As in all our top-class digital products, we use PCM1792 DAC chips from Texas Instruments, but here we use 2 pieces in a dual differential mode to achieve ultimate fidelity. As a selectable feature, a second DAC chip from Texas Instruments is on board, that can handle 32bit/384kHz. A high-class headphone output with selectable impedance for a perfect match to your headphones is also provided. Pre Box Digital RS offers 3-dimensional sound-staging, perfect micro dynamics and ultimate resolution combined with flexibility to use a wide range of digital and 1 analogue sound sources. Perfectly combined with Pro-Ject CD Box RS disc drive, Pre Box RS Digital will give outstanding sound experience, because of a I²S connection provided via RJ45, that is able to give jitter-free disc playback.

Pre Box S2 Digital marks a new era for our S-series components. For the very first time we are using a dual mono configuration with the highest class D/A converters of ESS Sabre. Their flagship DAC-chip ensures highest class audio in a small and affordable package. This DAC is capable of high resolution audio up to 32bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512! Pre Box S2 Digital is also the very first of our devices to support hardware MQA unfolding. It’s also the premiere of our proprietary Optimum transient digital filter and our proprietary clock circuitry design. Digital audio is the art of time, with our new proprietary clock design we have managed jitter rates of unrivalled 100 Femtoseconds, this easily outperforms many renowned and respected audiophile clock generators!

With organic polymer capacitors and thin film miniMELF resistors we were able to create a tiny device that will blow away even much bigger components for a much higher price. With a total of eight digital filters the sound can be shaped precisely to the listeners liking. Pre Box S2 Digital is fully remoteable, it can also control the playback software of a computer.
